How We Work; Your goals; our expertise – using the iAdviser Financial Planning Process in partnership.

Getting Started; We will meet to discuss how we tailor the iAdviser Financial Planning Process to work for your specific needs, what we need you to do and what you can expect from us including the costs involved. Then we will detail how our advice can be ongoing to form a long-term financial relationship with you as your plan constantly evolves. This meeting does not cost you anything, however at the end of this you will need to decide if our service is right for you.

Finding out about you, your goals & ambitions; We'll discuss your current financial situation so that we can picture where you are now; your objectives, aspirations, and any concerns that you have. If an investment portfolio is required we'll discuss risk and reward and your attitude towards investment risk. We need to know about your occupation, your savings & investments, your mortgage, your current liabilities and your tax position. At the same time we will gather details from any existing insurers or investment companies. (If you only wish to discuss a particular need, then at your request we will focus our discussions on the relevant area.)

Presentation; At this step we reconfirm the information already taken and present to you our analysis of your current position and outline our initial thoughts. We'll recommend a detailed strategy and the actions aimed to help you to achieve your goals. We review how your existing finances can be best utilised towards the achievement of your financial goals. We will tell you the cost of achieving your objectives. (For Focused Financial Planning your report will only deal with the areas requested)

Confirmation; We ask for feedback on your Personal Financial Plan and check that it meets your expectations. You may request that we adjust any aspect of the plan before you accept our recommendations either in full or in part.

Implementation; Every course of action we have recommended and agreed is now put into place either by us or by you following prior agreement.

Follow-Up; The most important part of your plan is the ongoing review; we will discuss with you the option of our various review services and what each of these will cost. You are not obliged to engage our review services but if you do not, changes in legislation, your situation or economic factors over time will mean that your plan will become outdated. In these circumstances it is your responsibility to ensure that you amend your plans accordingly. Alternatively you may purchase a further Financial Plan from us any time you wish.
